Start Making Money in Your Mind

Be a Millionaire Day took place on May 20. So what does it take to be a millionaire? While there are myriad considerations, formulae, and tests to take into account, one aspect is often overlooked. Call it “approach”, “attitude”, “mindset”, “outlook”, or “perspective”. Many people have wonderful business ideas and support, and yet still fail; while others succeed – despite the odds against them.

“Success is 99% attitude and 1% aptitude.”

Celestine Chua.

It is becoming more and more evident that our thoughts have more weight than just an emotional or mental effect – they can also have a physical impact. Here is a SUCCESS formula to help you to develop your millionaire mindset:

1. Set Your Goals

Taking the time to set proper goals gives you the opportunity to establish what is important to you. It also keeps you laser-focused – with no room for self-doubt and other negative outlooks.

2. Understand The Obstacles

Fostering a millionaire mindset does not involve bizarre rituals or donning rose-coloured glasses. Being aware of the obstacles along the path gives you a chance to dodge or overcome them. Keep obstacles in perspective as you move ahead.

3. Create a Positive Mental Picture

Assign a few minutes of every day to visualising in minute detail what your personal success looks like Envisioning your success allows your mind to become more open to taking the risks associated with it. Go for it, take the time to dream... and dream BIG.

4. Clear Your Mind of Self Doubt

Face your fears: List your limiting beliefs about yourself and then tackle each of these fears one at a time. Seek professional help or coaching if needed, and be sure to celebrate your successes.

When negative thoughts appear, immediately acknowledge them before replacing them with a positive affirmation instead. Negativity has a way of gnawing away at you mentally, emotionally and physically – nip them in the bud. Lost time, impeded creativity, and lower morale all thrive with negativity

5. Embrace the Challenge

“If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary.” Jim Rohn.

Do not allow fear of the unknown prevent you from achieving success. Be willing to take measured risks - taking a few losses will teach you how to improve so that you can better manage risk.

6. Stay on Track

Do not give up. Greatness take time. If you do feel like quitting, remind yourself about why you started. Revisit your goal worksheet. Remember that success does not come from what you do occasionally, but from what you do consistently.

7. Show The World You Can Do It

Now go out and make new friends who challenge you by bringing out your more adventurous side. Choose the company of people who are more daring and require you to be open-minded.
